What is a portfolio?

A portfolio is a personalized collection of your best work, combining both your academic and professional achievements. It serves as a way to showcase your growth, strengths, and key accomplishments. It should include examples of your projects, skills, certifications, and references from course instructors, mentors or employers. Your portfolio can demonstrate how you’ve applied what you’ve learned, making it an excellent tool for standing out to potential employers.

1. Select Artifacts

Artifacts are tangible examples that showcase your work. When selecting artifacts for your portfolio, choose those that best highlight your skills, accomplishments, and growth. Focus on projects or coursework that demonstrate your strengths and problem-solving abilities, ensuring they align with your career goals. Include a variety of work samples, such as reports, presentations, and designs, to provide a comprehensive view of your expertise.
