Internships on LinkedIn
In addition to searching for full and part-time jobs through LinkedIn, you can also find internship opportunities.
Best practices for finding internships on LinkedIn:
- Keyword Search: Use specific keywords in your search, such as “cybersecurity intern,” “accounting internship,” or “marketing intern.”
- Filters: Use the search filters to filter internship opportunities by industry and location.
- Open to Internships: From your LinkedIn profile, you can update your preferences to receive job alerts and notify your network that you are open to internship opportunities. At the top of your profile under the ‘Jobs’ tab, click preferences from the menu on the left. From the preferences page, select the ‘Open to Work’ section and scroll down to find ‘Internships.’ Click ‘Internships’ to filter for these types of opportunities.
- Network: Be sure to share with your network that you are searching for an internship, as they may be aware of opportunities.
