- Understand SMART Golf & Fitness environment: Equipment/Cleaning Standards, observe coaching styles & session flows, understand safety/spotting/professional standards.
- Learn & build upon coaching fundamentals: design and have a “go-to” warm up that applies to most situations, learn exercise progressions/regressions, build & observe different coaching cues, understand common golf movement patterns and most important weight lifting patterns.
- Be able to understand and design 4-12 week programs for varying demographics & skill levels: understand SMART Golf training philosophy, learn how sessions are structured, understand the hierarchy of exercise selection and energy system order, understand training goals for various times of the year, be able to recognize and correct incorrect movement patterns.
- Display the ability to lead Jr. Group sessions: be able to lead entire sessions independently, be able to manage athlete flow during sessions, demonstrate confident communication between athletes.
- Be able to reflect on past 5 months once completed and recognize areas of strength & areas of weakness to build upon moving forward
