About Us
The West Virginia Health Care Association is the state’s largest long-term care trade association representing providers across West Virginia. We support 120 member facilities through advocacy, education, events, and industry leadership. Our team is small, collaborative, and mission-driven—offering interns meaningful, hands-on experience.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our team across key operational areas, including events, communications, and member engagement. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, professional environment while contributing to impactful work.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and special events
- Support communications efforts, including email campaigns, social media, and marketing materials
- Conduct research and compile data to support projects and initiatives
- Help maintain member records and assist with outreach efforts
- Provide general administrative support to staff as needed

Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with Canva or social media is a plus)
- Interest in marketing, event planning, and non-profit work preferred.
Schedule & Requirements
- 20 – 25 hours per week, flexible around academic schedules
- Must be able to work in-person in Charleston, WV
